Hello All,
As some have heard, the Belfast and Moosehead Lake Railroad Preservation Society is selling off the assets of the railroad. We at the City Point Central Railroad and Museum in Belfast, Maine are attempting to purchase the railroad station in Brooks, Maine.
The station is relatively unaltered since its time as a station for the B&ML, and is in excellent condition, considering its many years of vacancy. We don't know how long this will be on the market, so time is of the essence. Any help is appreciated, and we have setup a donations page on our website: http://www.cpcrr.com and click on the "Help us Save Brooks Station" link. Any donations, big or small, would be most appreciated! Together, we can help save this station!

Make sure the rail media knows what you are doing. Draft a news release and send it to all the magazines, preservation groups like TRAIN and ARM, station preservation groups (a few of them exist), and anyone else you can find.

Get the word out.

I can help you draft a release, that's what I do for a bunch of nonprofits. PM me for my email address.
