Aprox. 2 weeks ago, I was railfanning at Palmer Ma. As the day wore on and the usual assortment of CSX Frieghts went thru, there was an extra
Amtrak passenger trainset that went thru after the inbound Vermonter
and before the outbound Vermonter. Anyone know what that trainset was
or was it just a movement of equipment.

If it were westbound on CSX it could have been Amtrak 449, the Lakeshore Limited to Albany. Did you notice if there were any passengers on board?

Did the train come off of NECR or did it go straight through on CSX?
