That should actually be 0D18 if you were East of Bethlehem. Sorry I missed you Vince and 2300. I was out of town. And please, call me Matt. There is a reason why I sign my posts and don't use an alias.

MA1 worked again today at A Bound Brook. Two Sundays in a row. And I had to leave early, but the Tropicana train passed through today at Bound Brook at 8:59 AM.

As a note: The saturday MA-1 is actually an extra crew, however more times than not is the actual MA-1 crew working an extra day. The Sunday job is the MA-2, the MA-2 is now a 6 days a week job, Sun-Fri. The MA-1 is still a 5 day a week job, Mon-Fri.

Was able to get out tonight at Bound Brook for a little bit. Saw a westbound CSX garbage train at 22:14 (anyone have an idea what the symbol is?), and the westbound Juice train at 22:32.

That was K277 ahead of the juice

Tonight was a little bit out of control. I was on NJT 5446 and we were stuck at Aldene with 5710 in front of us waiting for some westbound NJT traffic to clear since CR was having switch problems. So I hopped off at Roselle Park, and waiting for my westbound train( which was 20 mins late) 33K and Q301 went by about 6:30-6:45. On my way back into Newark about 8:00 65J was going through CP-Valley, then about 8:20 on my way out of Newark, we met Q409 at CP-NK. Both trains had to get talked by the signal at NK and Townley, since CR was now having signal problems!

North Jersey lost code at CP-Townley. Then when he got code back after the first train went thru it left a TOL on inside the interlocking.

Ouch. Sounds like it was a very well handled trial by fire!! Obviously all that could be done was being done. Seems like it was a pattern. NS had some similar issues where I was this weekend. Maintainers chalked it up to enviornmental considerations.

Got out to Bound Brook again tonight, and would appreciate train numbers:

22:55 - WB - NS Manifest
23:15 - WB - CSX Manifest - CSX5013 CSX7655
23:24 - WB - CSX Manifest - CSX8431 HCLX3110
23:37 - WB - NS 21G - BNSF4356 NS?

Also, there was an EB train waiting at CP-Bound Brook waiting for all these WB. Had to leave before it came through. And speaking of CP-Bound Brook, whats with the flashing light? It was there last time I was out as well (thursday), but wasn't in the recent past. Its a white flashing light, and as far as I can tell from the station, its on the shack at the CP. Any idea what it is?

And another awesome job by the Wolf during third trick as usual. I did most of an overnight last night. Tough situation was being had, and he worked it displaying skills like he should be retiring tomorrow. An old salt and then some. Even if the crews disagreed with something, they were giving him great respect as a few radio conversations on a few channels displayed. The conductor of the North Jersey orchestra put on a world class show.
