In a shameless plug...I'll mention that I'll be in the lobby on Sunday at Poughkeepsie, signing my book about Metro-North, METRO-NORTH’S HUDSON LINE:POUGHKEEPSIE TO OSCAWANA. We've gotten some very positive feedback so far...it is packed with photos (old, new and much color), history and every manner of equipment from Burro cranes to SPV's, FL9's, F10's, Genesis locos...selling for $39.95 plus tax.
Besides myself, many of the photographers that contributed may be familar names: Walter Zullig, Jr., Tim Wakeman, Gene Dauner, "Woody" Cohen as well as Otto Vondrak's artistry in creating our map.
Stop by and take a look--I think you'll like it.

I'll add my endorsement to the "Metro-North's Hudson Line" book. I received it about a week ago and was definitely impressed.

Every station from Poughkeepsie to Oscawana is included along with stations that no longer exist. Beautiful photos along with a great narrative of each station.

If you want a great book about this route, this is the one to get!
