Just learned today that the DL will soon be the new owner of ex- Delaware & Hudson 4068.
This unit is coming from Toronto, Canada.
Anyone know who in Canada owned it?

According to D&H survivors loco is ex Lamoille Valley Railroad 7801 and was owned by York-Durham Heritage Railway Association. It does not list a mechanical status for the engine or a link to a recent picture.

What about the RS11 3612 that was with the RS3 7801 would GVT be intrested in that as well or is it history. What about 7803&04 are they still around the low nose RS3's would look good in GVT paint.

"Mmmm... triple-header RS-3's.... "

.... With all the new anti-pollution laws out there today, I think this would probably violate ALL of them! But it sure would look cool.

Thought you might like to know, DL 4068 just departed CP Rail's Lambton Yard in Toronto after sitting at Agincourt Yard for a week's time for some unknown reason. Might take a while still to make its way down.

Alco RS3 "DL 4068":
ex York Durham Heritage Railway 7801
exx Lamoille Valley 7801
nee D&H 4068.

I'd keep an eye on RailPictures and other online photo sites for a possible shot of the unit in transit.

Why wouldn't it be? Its not leading or being occupied so all that safety stuff isn't needed..its dead in tow...long as the brakes work...
