IIRC, Erie is focused on an overseas Loco order at the moment, the F40s put on the back burner. I'll try to get more deets. I DO remember being told that the last Rebuild that came back (I forget the unit #) was going to be the last one for quite some time

1071 has been back in revenue service. Most of us didn't believe a -2C was going to haul passengers again.

1072 is revenue as well

1053 is on her way home. Was seen on the Fairport Junction railcam on Tuesday evening.

That’s good! I didn’t actually think that they would be sending units back since I thought they were put on the back burner on an overseas loco project.

In other news, 1071 is next to get sent out. Not sure if anyone saw it go to middleboro to be exchanged. 1072 is now the lone survivor unless seen otherwise.

Did it make it to middleboro?

Yes...there was a photo on Facebook of it there yesterday I believe.

1070 is still undergoing testing at Erie, and still in black, according to this video posted by Stephan Koenig

Didn't catch the number, but I caught a glimpse of a -3C with a dented/damaged nose pushing Framingham/Worcester train #2508 into Boston. I tried to get a photo of it heading back out as #2511 but they swapped trainsets.

Probably 1031.

the 1031 is correct, Tree damage from a November wind storm couple years back

The newest problem (on a long list of issues) sidelining the rebuilds is water leaking in thru the windshield, and down into the nose shorting out the electronics (ACSES, CABS/ATC)

Gee...and they outsourced the body work to a third party in Pennsylvania. Someone go back and get a truckload of Flex-Shield...
