223-11 had at least 53 wells/117 containers, followed by 23 mixed freight, DPU, and 46 more mixed freight on the tail.

Does NBSR have DPU unit to handle these trains?

They have split their schedule as well, and supposedly have more power enroute. CP 8781 made it onto the EMR EB out of BVJ today, so it sounds like they'll get the long awaited photo op of the unit in Saint John.

Saint John Port Days starts this morning and wraps up tomorrow. It should go back West after that. Lancaster Logistics is close to opening so watch for pickup in domestic intermodal with a keen eye for Canadian Tire

223-12 was into GVJ at 22:27 with 35+ wells/67+ containers, 75 mixed freight.

The second 132 extra hit GVJ at 02:32 with 78 mixed freight, including a hefty cut of racks. They also had a 5 pack of empty wells within the train.

Obviously we are only 2 weeks in, but cp’s mixed freight volume clearly has not yet taken a big hit from csx’s acquisition of pan am

And intermodal volume is way up

CSX hasn't even ran a train up there have they?

Maritime traffic has been moving I think via nmj
My point was simply that there was not a day 1 migration to a csx routing.

They'd have to have a shipping agreement first; they haven't even fully integrated their employees yet, and have barely done more than run 426/427 through to Rigby and back.

It doesn't work that quickly, lol...

This is a great posting from the "Port of St. John Days" concerning the growth of the port and its future. CN, CP and Irving all participaed on one of the panel discussions. CN indicated that the current activity has caught their attention and will be experimenting with the Domestid Container trade. CP said they are all in and Irving also talked about their rail and trucking business affiliated with the Port. Eveyone was upbeat about the future including bigger ships in the future.
