Blast from the past. CNJ Farmingdale station. It burned down in 1912, and operations transferred to the PRR station to the south, at the crossing of the two railroads.

Its an assumption on my part it was dropped off. There is little signs of vegetation being disturbed as in it was removed from that location, the rail isn't dirty or wraped in vines, lack of rust and its heavier rail than what I can tell is in the ground. I forget what the grant said but did it say new rail meaning new heavier rail, or brand new out of the box rail?
The cost is far more for brand new rail vs. used main line rail that there is thousands of miles sitting on racks for just this type of operation. I'm thinking this is just a cut through from Freehold to the Southern Secondary with limitted funds, that "new" might just be a play on words

Browns Yard Power as of 7/1/21

CSX 4432

CSX 6228

CSX 4408

It looks like 6228 will be leading 31 with 4432

Car count unknown at this time but we do have a tank for Bel-Ray

They are still in the yard as of 1:50 pm but it looks like they’re getting ready to set up the train

BTW the location is Collingwood, CollingSwood is in Southwestern NJ. Both are terms for a location where there was major charcoal production.

And yes the storms arrived. Should be gone in time for switching.

No SA38 tonight.

As usual, it will probably be PR19 or SA31 bringing it back tomorrow. I won’t be out tomorrow as I have errands to run and I already have enough footage of 4432, so I don’t really need anymore lol.

Y’all have a good Independence Day!

Sounds like 4432 is headed North through Tinton Falls, 7:45pm.

Could be wrong though…

@Jersey Rail Filmmakers 7:45? That’s pretty late if it was them. NJT prefers if they show up between 4-5 PM so they can get out of the way quickly. (The freight can only be held up so long)

Yeah who knows. Sounded way too loud to be NJT. After all I “could have been wrong”.

Could have been a loud ass NJT that sounded exactly like 4432. Quite ironic lol.

Sorry about that lol
