4302 replaced 4104 last night... I caught 1005, 4104, 4610 and a few cars on MM-08 in Bay Head

Saw four trains tonight:
4369: 4011; 6068
4378: 4014; 6044
3373: 4500; 7033
2313: 4001; 6075

Interesting sight last night (Friday). GP40 4203 LHF dragging a backwards ALP 45 down to Bay Head. A few hours later, same sight eastward. Not sure if the ALP was the same one. The look reminded me of a lion dragging a gazelle, both units "backwards".

Two veterans units, 4635 and 4641, are on 3272 today. They should return on 3283, then turn for 3292.

Caught some good action during a 30 minute stay at Long Branch
3283: 4635-7-4641; both units are veterans units
4383: 6044-3-4014
3285: 4640-7-4600
X4302: 4302
3288: 7029-7-4644

X4302 is currently working near the RARE turn track in South Amboy

Red Bank yard has a line of ballast/tie cars tied down, saw some sort of sort of engines there as well, resembled the two CATs but I couldn't make it out.

I’m off to long branch for this

4100 will be leading the next southbound shuttle with a solid Comet v set

4100 backed into the pocket shortly after arriving into Long Branch for the two locals, and shortly after, 4302! Coming back from some sort of protect job I guess. I originally thought they came down to pick up the engineless set of cars on Y6 I think it is. However if MM-08 comes down tonight or tomorrow night they will probably pick those up.

Another note: 4659 (veterans) is in the yard with just a short 5 multilevel set, pretty interesting.

Friday night, about 8:35 through Bradley Beach, I heard what I knew was a Geep, the rumbling exhaust and the horn. GP40 4100 with four Comet Vs was a bit of a surprise. It looks like a few of us have caught it. A little variety to keep things interesting.

Later, that same night, I saw some sort of inspection hi-railer roaming the Long Branch yard. A bigger box truck, a rolling light show with yellow strobes a-blinking, it had some graphics on the side I couldn't quite make out, and not NJT.

The video is great! Nice action.

You might have seen a Sperry Hi-railed rail inspection vehicle, testing for defective rail.

Nice westbound equipment move thru Bradley Beach just before 11 pm last night. (Is this MM-08?)

An ALP 45 and a GP40 (1000-something, hard to see the numbers) with an assortment of Comets and MLs in no apparent order, maybe ten or so cars.

I caught the Sperry truck just north of the Shark River draw heading east just before that. Covered with lights, that thing can be seen from space.
