Boston Globe is reporting that the T is loaning a 22 year old unused portable substation to New Orleans Regional Transit Authority to help power its streetcars. The substation is on loan for one year and should get there on Friday. The T's substation was the only one found nationwide to be compatible with New Orleans' system.
