How many M1 cars have been retired & how many are still in service.

In addition, how many M7 cars are now in service.

about 30 ACMU's are permanently retired
about 20 M1's are set asside.
about 118 M7's are accepted and in Service.

If Conductors are in charge, why are they promoted to be Engineer???
