CSX Detours Thread

Funny, because it's going by my house right now (9:45PM @ Wortendyke Station) and I just logged on to see what that was. What was in the consist? It was quite long and I only saw one diesel. Empties? Through the trees, though, so not the most reliable sighting ever.

Anyone up in Pompton/Butler etc who might want to check it out has what, maybe 20-30 mins?

Another Q156 came down the system last night from syracuse and into nj today.

Short notice on this round of detours:

Q-156-17 is already headed eastbound out of Binghamton Friday evening. Q-004 is a couple of hours behind them headed to Binghamton. No word on a crew to take it east. Reportedly a westbound will head out of New Jersey Saturday sometime, possibly a Q-710 garbage train.

Something very long passed through here fairly early this morning heading in the direction of Binghamton; I thought it looked like a container train, but maybe it was the garbage train. I think it went by around 9:30am.

Any idea if CSX detours are still running into next week? Anything over Starrucca during daylight
hours? Might try to get down there middle of next week if I can.

Todays detouring Q004 is southbound at Jamesville NY about 4:30pm powered by two BNSF units 7471 leader.

Yes, a Q004 detoured last night down the NYSW. Power was 2 CSX GE's

Monday, around 2:50 PM, heard an eastbound going through Warwick. CSX sounding horn.

I'm gonna venture a guess that the train that went through around 2:50pm (2:30ish here I'd guess) was today's SU-99? Because I was just out walking the dogs and caught a CSX stack train coming back down from Binghamton. 4 diesels were CSX 3053, CSX 7824, NYSW 3810 and NYSW 3802.

Got some pics of it passing behind the Hot Dog Caboose at Old Wortendyke Station and crossing over Newtown Rd. in Midland Park.

On the NYSW Northern Division Yahoo Group, a Q004 detour was reported leaving Syracuse this morning at 12:01 AM. Could this train be it, and not SU-99?
