what frequency does B735 use when they switch the "Chocolate" and the mansfield industrial park? 160.920 or 160.800?

  by CSX Conductor

No sure what the frequency is..........but CSXT channel #2 (64/64 on the engine radio).

BTW, I believe either B732 or B733 went to Mansfield last night.

Channel 64 (Association of American Railroads - AAR) is 161.07mz and is listed in my directory as CSX's yard operations channel.

In the past, I have also heard swithching operations in the Middleboro yard on 160.86mz, which is AAR channel 50. It is also listed as a "hump" channel on my Conrail frequency directory

Try these out on your scanner. Good luck......

50/50 (Channel 3) is listed as Hump Operations because that is the channel used in Selkirk. Some crews use Channel 3 instead of Channel 2 for less interuption by other crews nearby on Channel 2.

i saw B735 today; they entered the Chocolate siding at 9:00 and were there until 1030, and then they just headed straight for Attleboro, didn't even stop at the industrial park in W. Mansfield.

the train today was just 6212 and 15 cars and they were in Attleboro until 1210

B735 will be getting a new customer in the West Industrial Park soon, track crews are replacing ties on a track that has been out of service for a long time..........

on another note, there was no B735 activity in the industrial, i assume they just worked the chocolate, and went home, or they didn't work at all today, anyone have any info on this???

I believe B735 didnt work that day due to problems with the power. That has been an ongoing situation this past year and and doesn't seem to be improving. Workable 6200's seem to be in really short supply in New England.

Yes PharmerPhil, doesn't it really suck that we need ACSES. I'd like for them to bring back the GE' B23-7's that we have had on a rare occasion in years past.
