Hi all

I was wondering, why does Cryotrans name their boxcars after locations? Are the locations related to business, or for fun?

I don't know...but I once saw the Chelsea car come to Chelsea! Might have been CRYX 1182 but it was years ago so I could be off.

intresting question I ofton wondered this my self. They seem to be doing the same thing that the Government of Alberta dose with there covered hoppers with there "Take a Brake" followed by a location or city name in Canada.

It's just for fun. It makes the cars a bit more personal.

I used to get them often when i handled the Juice train to NJ and the guys at Tropicana told me that was the deal.
