I have heard that some PRR shore bound passenger trains switched from electric to diesel (steam?) at Rahway, in addition to South Amboy. Can anybody help me with some info?

It is my understanding that just South of the Union interlocking heading South Amboy, there were (2) set of tracks to switch the engines.
