The Port Authority of Allegheny County began subsidizing the B&O's Pittsburgh-Versailles commuter service in 1974, and issuing timetables under the PATrain banner. Did the B&O issue a timetable for this service, or was it buried in a system timetable somewhere? I'm interested in this service because it appears B&O continued to operate this train on its own past Amtrak day for at least three years until PA took over...

Otto,
There is a book call The PaTrain Pittsburgh's last commuter Train by allan R. Bluman that has an old 1964-65 comutter timetable in there. Service was Monday thru Saturday. There was one 58 mile roundtrip to connellsville PA Mon thru Fri as well as 3 round trip versailes to pittsburgh locals and 5 mckeesport to pittsburgh locals. On saturday you had the 3 round trip versailes to pittsburgh local and 4 mckeesport to pittsburgh locals.
You can also go to a website called taplines.net. From there you can get an offical guide to the railways cd that would list this service as well and ebay has some B & O schedules as well. Hope this helps.
