Miami-Dade Transit Opens MIA Metrorail Station - that's Miami International Airport.

Tri-Rail already has a station there, and Tri-Rail and Metrorail share another station.

I could not find any plans for further expansion of Metrorail.

Looking at other Miami projects, the Miami Streetcar Project is a single page with contact info only.

Fair-use quote on potential expansion to Doral (story is only two paragraphs; brief as it gets!)
Metrorail Line to Doral Would Cost Only $102 Million to Build

Miami-Dade Commissioner Esteban "Steve" Bovo, head of the commission's transportation committee, is in discussions with CSX, a railroad company, to use their existing east-west freight line for passenger rail out to western Miami-Dade, either as Metrorail or Tri-Rail.

Bovo told the Miami Herald the talks are going swimmingly, although CSX has not yet confirmed this. The line runs alongside the Dolphin Expressway, running close or relatively close to the Miami Intermodal Center rail hub and a number of other destinations, including Doral, and Florida International University, and since it already exists additional construction to make it passenger-ready would only be about $102 million. That would cover stations and some additional track used for passing, but not cover whatever CSX charged for the line's usage.

It's been stated somewhere that CSX is quite anxious to dump this under-utilized branch of theirs. But they are also known to drive a hard bargain.
