To revisit this, I took advantage of the regularly scheduled late night (12:48am) trip from Suburban on the Manayunk/Norristown line. I consider this in the same vein as the July 4th extra service, as last night had an extremely high number of passengers due to the Made in America festival. The train, obviously, did not leave on time.

SEPTA brought in the West Trenton and Lansdale locals on track 1 A/B, back to back. They waited until both of those trains departed before bringing in the Manayunk/Norristown local, also on Track 1.

Can anybody see a reason why they wouldn't bring the Manayunk/Norristown train on Track 2 and board simultaneously? The train wasn't stopping at North Broad, and there were no other trains other than a Temple U/deadhead around 12:45.
