Also used another Independence Pass this AM (Thursday 6/7) on Train 6593 again without problem.

The interesting thing with using an Independence Pass on AM Peak trains is that using one, it's actually CHEAPER ($13.00 - whether bought at a ticket office or on the train) for a daytime round trip from/to Zone 4, than two tickets bought in advance at a ticket office ($6.75 x 2 = $13.50)! And with the pass, you get free (unlimited, if you have a paper legacy pass) travel on all of SEPTA for the day too!

Also, there are two versions of the passes in circulation - one lists the year as "2019" (the conductor of 6593 had this version), the other lists the year as "2019-2022" (the North Wales ticket office had it). Both still list the old AM Peak restriction on the back.

Return to “SEPTA (and PATCO)”
