Per Dr. Gridlock, at this Thursday's Metro hearing the Board will hear a presentation about changes to Metro's policy on weekend track work. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dr- ... work-plan/.
Some changes: weekend station closures will not begin until midnight, rather than at 10 p.m. Friday.; station closures will not occur on consecutive weekends, an exception being a major project (switch replacement, for example); and considering ways to resume weekday midday track work, though restricted to locations that would have minimal impact on riders.
Metro will also unveil its summer-fall 2014 schedule of track work.
