Other than the SD70MAC-H, is there any news about new passenger cars? Stadler bi-levels? ex-NJT and Amtrak Comet Cars? PRR MP54s? Converted flatcars with Sofas? Or even, *shivers* refurbished British Rail Pacers??? :P

OOOOO bad news dont' say the p-word. Some how those junkers have hung on for decades over there. I've avoided them so far.

Chicago is blessed with generous clearances so hopefully there will never been any British rolling stock on the Metra system. I'm a fan of the Mk3 coach for >2 hour rides for sure, but it's very narrow so capacity is not a strong suit. But a long ride and good track and those big comfy seats, especially on the Welsh business class cars. It would make a great way to re-equip the Detroit trains.
