I remember the SD40's GM&O had had the cylinders mounted low, but when ICG bought them, the cylinders were mounted on top.

I like the newer Blombergs with the bearings showing. Also the HTC's under NS SD40-2's.

Anybody remember the HT-B used under UP and SP's GP-40X's? Sharp looking but it never caught on. I wonder if any of them are still in service?

National Railway Equip. had at least one of the 40X's in it's lease fleet with the original trucks intact. I photographed it about 3 or 4 years ago. Whether it is still around, I can't say.
