The last SD45-2 built was CSX 8964. What is the disposition of this engine? Was it scrapped since it is no longer on CSX's roster? Or is it working for a leaser company? Or is it just rusting on a siding somewhere?

CSX 8964 sold to Helm Leasing as HATX 910, then to TFM as 1525, Now HATX 1525, not sure of current status of unit. Data from LocoNotes and The Diesel Shop.
