Hi, does anyone know when engineers are driving SW's or MP's if they are bi-directional with a single control stand and sit on the "wrong" side when running cab forward?,or are they fitted with duel aar control stands ?and if so, are there certain rules when driving the engine on the "wrong" side? thanks again..PS: sorry for asking so many questions! cheers, :-D dash7

Most if not all SW1500's or MP15's have one control stand and are set-up
to run long hood forward. With large windsheilds on the rear, there are no operational issues if you run in the reverse direction.

Speaking of 1500 cabs... has anyone ever ran a 1500 with the HUGE control stand in the middle of thecab? Its single control, set for long hood forward, but the fireman's side has a built in computer/monitor/printer. The Highvoltage equipment is accessed from a door in the front, and all the switches ( hump control, generator field, etc.. ) sits on top.

Its goofy looking, and takes up all the room in the cab. Just wondering if anyone else has seen one.
