NS Operating Rules

Post by 3rdKeag » Fri Nov 11, 2011 6:30 pm

I thought NS was a member of NORAC and used the NORAC Book of Operating Rules but someone recently tried to tell me NS issues it's own Book of Operating Rules. I haven't been otherwise able to find an answer on line. Which is it? Thanks.

I'm not a trainman, but I believe NS does not use NORAC.

You might get a better response in the Operations Forum.

That forum is here:

NORAC went away a few years ago on the NS, we operate under NS operating rules with seperate sections for NS and prior Conrail signals.

Thank you esprrfan. What is the effective date of the current NS rule book?
