I recently finished my drug and background screening for a conductor position for a Augusta, GA; Norfolk Southern yard. As I was completing my drug and background check for Norfolk my online status on the applicants page was "In Process". After about a week went by I noticed that my online status has changed "To Be Hired". I'm anxious to know what this status means and I'm not going to call HR to harass them with their already stressful job a possibly ruin my chances of getting hired. The railroad agent I met for my background told me that, "no news is great news" and as long as I don't receive a call from him to clarify anything then all is going great and just try to be patient; that was a little over 2 weeks ago and I'm just trying to find out what this "To Be hired" status means.
