Has anyone ever been hired by CSX and received a start date only for the job to be cancelled? They said I’d be placed in a pipeline for future vacancies.

Railroad employment needs do fluctuate. When newly hired employees get furloughed those in the pipeline toward employment are also stopped until the manpower needs of the railroad change and they start calling back what they can of the furloughed and restart the employment pipeline for new hires.
