That's a cool picture of that engine in the passenger station. By any chance does 5286 have hep?

NJT's Jersey Ave. (northbound) station is on CSAO's Millstone IT, with the southbound platform on the NEC. No, 5286 does not have HEP, why would it?

5286 is at Chattanooga and will be the last simple repaint. All remaining blue units on NS will be either rebuilt or retired.

The 2 dash 8's have been in storage in Roanoke and will probably be retired, the remaining SD50's will eventually be rebuilt as SD40E's and the SD38's are living on borrowed time.

It was reported earlier in this thread that the 8312 is being put back into service. :)

I saw that there are some former Conrail geeps working for NJT, so I guess they got hep motors after coming onto NJT?

Yes. They were extensively rebuilt, including HEP engines on an extended frame. All of the 4200 series geeps and about half of the GP40FH-2's are ex-Conrail. The 4300 series work geeps are also ex-Conrail, but did not receive CAT HEP engines as part of their rebuild.

6718 was repainted, but seems to somehow have found its way back on your list. Second CR heritage unit, maybe? :-)

Also, I created this thread for "Conrail" 8098, so as to avoid getting it confused with the real Conrail survivors.
