If you found yourself in the position of having to choose to work for Metra as a conductor vs Amtrak as a conductor, which would you choose and why?

Metra, better time off,no over nights, about the same pay. I work there now as an engineer and love it.

Amtrak has a national roster which is a huge plus to some people. Im assuming he is asking for a zone in which Metra and Amtrak both run.

Hire out with BNSF in Aurora, and you will be able to work the suburban trains and freight. This gives you lots of options. Who knows if Amtrak will get cut if pomney gets in, as he has threatened.
