Nickel Plate RR, Fort Wayne, Indiana

Post by terry03 » Tue Apr 01, 2014 9:56 am

There are two sets of railroads that run east to west through downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana. Which one was the Nickel Plate? Was it the one to the North close to the river?

NKP was the one closest to the river, on the south side. PRR further south, Wabash also. NYC north of the river heading basically N/S

Thanks CarterB. The company my father worked for built the elevated portion of the Nickel Plate in the mid-fifties. I just wanted to be sure which track it was.
