WNY&P trains on the ex-PRR

Are trains run south as-needed still? On a typical Friday or Saturday, what trains typically run? Thanks.

Charles,

I believe there's a Driftwood turn, which runs most days (late afternoon/early evening) at least on M-F. This could be as needed,
but I'll leave that for someone with better knowledge to confirm. Sometimes it's a lite engine move to Driftwood to pick up cars
from NS interchange, as someone mentioned on Facebook a few days ago. I don't know any more than that, but hopefully that helps.

The WNY&P has almost daily runs to Emporium to pick up fracking sand cars.

I was in Olean last Saturday when a train returned to the Olean ayard from Emporium.

The Driftwood turns are 1-2 a week. They leave in the mornings.

The WNY&P ran a maintenance train to Machias last week.

M-F a Farmers Valley train leaves around 1pm. It includes ex PS&N trackage.

Thanks for the great info, Chris. Out of curiosity, what was the move to Machias about? I imagine they only do minimal
work between Olean-Machias to keep the line passable?

^They ship gravel out of Machias. It's usually a once a week job.
