Hi all,

I'm looking for the following information on the SLR motive power roster:

-- status on the GP9s: are ALL (50, 58, 60, 62, 64, 68) still stored? Are they for sale?

-- status on the M420s: how many are still on the property?

-- have any of the GP40s that were supposed to go to P&W left yet?

-- are either of the SW1s currently in service?

-- are Safe Handling GP15-1s 1505 and 1512 still on the property?

-- what's the status on the QBT U-Boat?

-- any other updates on SLR / SLQ power

From observations and posts on NERAIL,

-- status on the GP9s: are ALL (50, 58, 60, 62, 64, 68) still stored? Are they for sale?

Still for sale, still dead and stored at the enginehouse.

-- status on the M420s: how many are still on the property? three!

3501/3562/3573 stored at Lewiston Junction
3517 is up on the NH Central, stored I believe
3505/3512/3516 Left to canada someplace, one to a museum I think
3519/3578/3579 NJ Southern

-- have any of the GP40s that were supposed to go to P&W left yet?

3205 went to P&W
3204 went to Utah Railway

-- are either of the SW1s currently in service?

I believe at least one is still down.

-- are Safe Handling GP15-1s 1505 and 1512 still on the property?

Yes - used for local jobs. 515 has had one lately. One did have problems a week or so ago.

-- what's the status on the QBT U-Boat?

Leaving or left for the CT Southern

-- any other updates on SLR / SLQ power

QGRY SW-1500 #1504 is still working Berlin, supposedly well liked by crews.


There is a great little yahoo group run by Cliff Wilkie, an SLR dispatcher, and Henry B from the P&W list http://groups.yahoo.com/group/St_LawrenceandAtlanticRR/ that has a lot of up to the minute info on rosters etc.
