New MPI MP20B-3 for NJT

Post by MEC407 » Thu Nov 22, 2007 5:40 pm

LocoNotes member "GaryL" posted a link to this newly-released "geep clone" from MPI:

He notes that this unit rides on MPI-built trucks, which resemble EMD Blomberg trucks, but they have a longer wheelbase.

Another interesting characteristic of this unit is that it has the same nose used on most of the new switcher-type units, even though the rest of the unit is more in the style of the traditional roadswitcher.

Anybody know what it's got under the hood? It must be 2000 HP based on the locomotive's model designation. MTU-Detroit Diesel, Cat, and Cummins are the usual suspects.
