As part of a five engine lash up LAL engines #420 and #424, as well as WNYP #430 left LAL territory today as a pilot from R&S took the engines to Silver Springs to meet the NS for transport to Hornell and on to the WNYP. The remaining engines #421 & #425 remained on the LAL to handle the local business.

With the 420 going as well I wonder if 431&432 will be in Lakeville soon for check up's and fresh paint.

Its reported the 420 is on its way to CN for wheel work. So it will probably return to the LA&L after that. (Its also reported the 421 will become a WNY&P unit and replace the 424 once its painted.)

Now that 420 is home again, does 421 go back into R&R mode?

Are there plans to get (WNYP) 421 into good paint? Some one, said that upon 421's completion (paint etc.) 424 and 421 would swap positions...
