Silver Lake Railroad

I stopped by the station last weekend when I was up there and all the tarps and such that were put over the cars have been shredded to pieces! Does anyone know who to contact so that their equipment doesn't get ruined?

NOTE on Putt Putt day september 25th 2010: A joint meeting between CVRTC, B&MRRHS, and the SLRR. Mystic valley rail group will also be visiting for the tow or three PM ride! To all CVRTC members coming, we can use every speeder we can get, a lot of people are coming to this successful great event.

Nice website! Keep up the good work; I like what's going on there! That Ice Cream Diner should be a big draw in itself; is it going to be open daily or just when the railroad is up and running? I’m looking forward to the southward expansion along Silver Lake.

Thanks for the comments on the site. See we got a domain name after all! The .57 Mile Southern extension is a future project, nothing soon. Just an idea at this point!

After reading this thread, I re-checked my Mystic Valley "Waybill" and found the event under " Treasures of New Hampshire" Sat. 25 Sep.

I have it marked on my calendar and planning to attend...Ice Cream, Trains & Speeders..

Who could ask for anything more ????

In SLRR news, everything is coming great. The train is set and ready to go, and the lone only needs a mowing.

Here is a link to the album about the SLRR diner. Check it out! The diner opens the 3rd. It is absolutely awesome! We are even considering running a weekday train at 6 PM! Let's see how this plays out!

Is the freight station used for anything?

Yes, we use the freight station for storage. I'd take a picture, but its way too much of a mess! We do though have two giant signals that look like they could have been pulled off the mbta. We'll display those in due time. Also in the freight house are tools, maintenance equipment, extra stuff, and a couple more interesting things I cant think off the top of my head.

I will get some pictures of the garage this weekend. We have a model A, a model T, and an Auburn. Just a cool thing to add to the museum.
