Back when the Patriots almost moved to Hartford, there was talk of the same thing... trains to bring the spectators in. The stadium would have been built at Adriaen's Landing in Hartford which is just a stones throw away from the Valley Line (up from Middletown). Anyways, after the whole Patriots th...

Yup, those cars are still at NHV. They are visable as you cross over the new bridge over the rail yard. The bridge is a great vantage point over the yard. Most of it has that protective sheeting but there are openings on either end and in the middle to spot the action, and the ex-LIRR cars. -Jay Hogan

From I-295 South (from downtown), take Exit 2 (towards OOB) and then the first exit off of that, to US 1. Go north on US 1. A bridge will span the yard, your next right is Rumery Street. Topic says it all.... does it?

I remember the three Holyoke cars from 1991-1993 when they were leased to the Valley Railroad in Essex, CT. Two were coaches, one was a coach with a bar. If the Holyoke railroad doesn't exist, where did its equipment go? Anyone have any pics?

Any ideas if the F40s will be part of that long-term roster? Railworld owns many F40s so that would make sense.

Yes, good to be back isn't it? Did anyone happen to save the posts from the old forum (like the first time the old board went down?) According to the official EST&R site, a Gillette Castle connection will be offered this season. Now finally, something new to offer. Reportedly, the train will dro...
