On the Roanoke rail cam, just saw a train go by with a caboose on the end. What would cause NS to put a caboose on a train now a days?

I haven't seen The Bridge on the River Kwai mentioned here yet. One of my favorite movie classics. Actual train footage is brief, but sure makes an 'impact' at the climax of the movie.

I see on ringling.com that the Blue Tour's next show is in Trenton this Wednesday, so presumably that's where this train is going. Unfortunately I'm confined to my windowless office for a couple more hours.

The first two arrested for the wire theft, Clinton Padusnak and Julian Wynkoop, were handed felony grand larceny indictments by the Ulster County Grand Jury yesterday.

Depends which kind of fish plates you have. Our 80 Dudley and 105 Dudley has angle bars which splay out wider than the width of the base of the rail. Needs long plates with a set of holes inside the shoulder.

Most every railroad/trolley museum will have palates of miscellaneous donated OTM, some plates fitting the rail on hand, some not. And we've got sticks of rail with no OTM to go with it. There was a third arrest in the case in the past week. According to the detective, this completes their investigation of the theft.
