The Saratoga trolley is described in some detail on page 16 in the Hudson Valley Railway section of Reifschneider's "Interurbans of the Empire State".

On its journey to be listed on the National Register, Brooklyn & Queens Transit PCC trolley No. 1000 at the Trolley Museum of New York has been accepted to the state's list of historic places and structures:

IRM has been running 3, 4 and 5 car electric trains. And running 803 for 10 feet probably can power a village for a year. Did they upgrade their rectifier recently to put out the juice these consists draw? How do they manage their electric bill?
Thomas I guess could count as an ambassador from the UK, but all the Thomas' that appear in North America for DOWT events were built in the US.
Trolleys from the UK are represented in the US. Mainline railroad stuff from the UK in the US is certainly rare, I can't think of any. I wonder if ExpoRail in Quebec has something. I know they recently sent a loco to York for a special event.
Yes, plus Padusnak had priors. The reason Padusnak's sentencing was delayed is he was supposed to pay $2000 of the restitution before going to jail, but that didn't happen. Prisoners normally get an 'allowance' while in jail, but Mr. Padusnak has lost that privilege as a result.
Clinton Padusnak got 2 to 4 years prison time.
Well, its neither very far off a beaten path nor a hole in the wall, but I'd put Orange Empire at the top of any list of must-see RR museums in the area.
A typo in the first bullet; it should read:
a celebration of 30 years in Kingston 1983-2013
The Trolley Museum is planning a big day on May 18, 2013. Please circle the date on your calendars and plan to drop in! We've withdrawn this campaign until we can produce a short video to accompany a future on-line campaign. In the mean time don't let that stop you from making a tax-deductible donation to TMNY.
Julian Wynkoop was sentenced to 5 years probation and must pay a portion of the restitution. Clinton Padusnak has yet to be sentenced.
There's a number of Schenectady Ry. Co. trolley pictures, and a smattering of pictures from nearby locations, up on the http://TMNY.org site. Click on Visit the Archives, then scanned photos and postcards only then scroll down or search for Schenectady.
Makes sense. I just hadn't seen one stroll past the webcam until today.
