NYSDOT = Amtrak Empire Services should be 30 units,,still 66 units for LIRR is too high,up to 50 units would be believable,45-50 for MN.

Believe most of these stations are unstaffed,and in some cases no building or shed to secure the portable lift machine ,some have NO paved platform at the station site

Well that was expected,HRRC has finally killed any chance of keeping the Maybrook intact east of the Hudson river. :grimacing:

Unlike MN,LIRR units don't have a weight issue to deal with,are you sure of that number,66 units could be the entire MTA order for MN/ConnDOT/LIRR combined,

But that's not how the Feds see it, it goes back to when they pulled the exemption on speeds on the Montauk Branch east of Babylon using the Distant Switch signals, with the MAS dropping to 59 mph!
That started the process to CTC/ATC the Montauk Branch to MY.

With the exceptions of the Cascdes.NEC,Any of the "Flyers" or "Mules",
most of the LD schedules are online at the website now

If you shut the CTC down,you have to just about start from scratch to bring it back,ripping out the old dead system and replace with new gear in the huts and new signal/signal heads wayside
there will be parts salvaged to keep other sections up and running,,,,,,,,

That will leave ATS in service on NMRX and Metrolink (SCAX) as the last active ATS along with the Raton and Gloreta Subs.

a good chunk of the Valley RR is not safe for service beyond the normal tourist runs,track was cleared but not upgraded to allow service,but useable for speeder ,Hi-Rail trucks,and the bikes.

The MP 36's are a Boise/Wabtec product,figure on Wabtec/GE/Erie, doing the rebuild they will have the original specs at Erie by now

The whole purpose of the rebuild is to bring the K-cars up to same "standard" as the Rotem fleet and work with the Rotem fleet
they were built without certain options that were "standard" on the Rotems
