Re: LIRR Mainline Third Track Project

That is one of the crossings they were planning to eliminate. If the third track is being built from Hicksville west, then I would expect that one to be the first to go. Wonder if they’re going to keep that ped crossing at Mineola.

Good advice, man. I’m getting the sim for Christmas, confirmed. I’ll make sure to review it here. What this means is that I can stop working, finally, on that godforsaken route I built in Trainz 2008 for the LIRR.

I’ve been playing that new LIRR sim and if you close the cab door so that it is only a 1/3 cab, there are two front windows, one with seats.

Well, it wouldn’t be their first priority, obviously. People including me would much rather see a 1950s original P-54 before playing a game in a 2000s M7 mock-up. Besides, I’m getting the sim. I just thought of that insane idea.

Does anyone have photos of 503 right after the accident or any info on it? I couldn’t find anything.

I have an insane idea. You know Train Sim World, the LIRR sim? Put a screen running TSW in the M7 sim. Load it with the LIRR DLC and a way to select a route or scenario. Program the cab controls to match the sim controls. And finally, make a way to walk around, because the sim requires that you walk...

Yeah, I’m getting TSW with the LIRR route for Christmas. That’s good and all, and I’ll comment on the route. But what I really want to see is the sim programmed into the M7 cab at OBRM.

LIRR has released renderings of a 3-track Mineola.

Sorry, one more thing. Will the M9s be testing through Mineola next week? I might go out and get some video of them passing by. Last time, I was busy when they went east, and left too early to see them go west. :(

So you mean they’ll look like this:

Lol, I would get triggered if the M9s had a B end and an A end without cab windows. I just want to see 2 B ends, like MNR 9464, the M8 S car. I’m a symmetry boi.

LIRR 9893-9894

I heard about a pair of modern M3s, 9893-9894. I would like to see pictures of the inside, considering I have only ridden 9856. I would like to see what it looks like, because my luck has probably run out, and the next uncommon train that I ride will be an M9, I will let you know if I happen to ride...

But would they be coming at the same time, is what I mean, or would I have to listen here?

What do you mean? There will be no more mixed consists? Will the test schedules change? Cause 3:30-5:00 is my optimal railfanning time.
