Track is beyond pitiful, chased a train from the Summit to Cinton a few weeks ago, and had spare time to get lunch, gas up the truck, and still had to wait track side. I'm guessing speeds are in the 10mph range ? Maybe, if not already, the State of MA will buy the line....

The local is back servicing Leominster, arriving around 03:00pm, and departing around 05:00pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Probably not enough to get things back to 25-mph, but there were some bundles of ties at the Linden Street, Berlin, crossing ~0700/06-22-2015 and 1 length of stick rail sitting on top of new loose ties nears the Main Street, Southboro, ~1130. Is that LEAD PAINT on those tanks? :-D Consideirng the age of the tanks, it's most likely lead based paint. Lead paint is still in use on bridges and other places exposed to the elements,as it lasts much longer than conventional paints. Some storage tanks these days are painted with an epoxy based ...

They are working on grade crossings in the Lancaster area, specifically the Rt. 62 crossing and others in the area as of last week.

Drove by Leominster yard today, no action, nothing new apart from 2 hopper cars in the yard, same as a few weeks ago.

They rebuilt the crossing in Berlin at the "1/2 penny" resturant a few weeks ago.

A track gang has been working the line near Greg's packing in Worcester this week, right near the I-190/I-290 interchange.

Drove by Leominster yard this morning, 3 hopper cars on the South end of the yard, same ones that were there last week. Usually there are a lot more cars in the yard.

They arrive in Leominster every Tuesday/Thursday from 1:00pm - 03:00pm, and head South ususally around 5:00pm, though sometimes later
