I agree, MACTRAXX. However, from what I understand, the "SEPTA Wallet" part of the Key, specifically the online tools and stored cash value, are not up and running yet. In addition, the new restrooms for the fare areas at Market East have been completed. I have noticed in Section B over th...

From what I understand, one ride on the Trailpass can be used for RR, Bus, Trolley, Subway, NHSL. So, riding the El from 30th Street to 69th Street and transferring to the NHSL to Norristown effectively costs more (2 rides) than taking the Norristown line from 30th Street to Norristown. I'm not 100...

The question I have is will SEPTA offer any fare incentives to any riders that will be taking part in this test program? Other than bragging rights, it is very likely not. [quote}Let me add this observation: Why would any rider take part in this test and give up the current system of unlimited use ...

Train 9724 ran with a full set of refurbished bomber coaches this morning, except for the cab car.

Do the cabs need to be tested and accepted like a new locomotive? I have not yet seen a refurbished bomber cab except for the one done in house by SEPTA.

BUMP

Contractors have been out at outlying stations on the Trenton Line drilling holes for the new pass/ticket validators.

The problem with running one seat combined SEPTA-NJT service between Suburban Station and NYP is that then you are encroaching on Amtrak's intercity market, specifically the Keystone Service. I don't think Amtrak would allow a cheaper state-supported service to undercut their profits on their own tr...

Regional Rail ridership is growing to the point where operations are limited by infrastructure. Trains are crowded, platforms are not getting any longer (and neither are trains), and parking is expanding in bits and pieces. I am guessing that SEPTA's yard space is getting confined as well. While the...

Connections are listed in both the NJT and SEPTA timetables. Oftentimes, there is a significant amount of time (~15-20 minutes) between the listed connections to prevent this, even though most times there is a more immediate connection with less time (~2-5 minutes) between trains. Utilize the listed...

Interesting change. How many active airport line trains are there at any given time? Won't this require additional train sets and crews? Also, what a hassle! Customers must board Airport Line Trains at Jenkintown-Wyncote Station on the Outbound platform So many people will end up having to lug thei...

I can't see them getting away with throwing most of their capital at just stations in that unspecified time in the future. Even as they spent about what it would cost to go to Quakertown on PTC the last 7 years they've still managed to afford a fair number of other projects, and an expansion would ...

2308 shoved 9724 in from Trenton today.

I would guess that it will be showing up on tonight's Great Valley Flyer.
