Yesterday afternoon was busy for Clinton. On the Worcester main, track cars were returning from the east to park on the Clinton siding (where I also saw them on Monday). Then a parade of track cars came in from the south on the Agricultural branch, stopping on that siding, at least temporarily.

Noon today the rail cars parked on the Clinton siding are empty of rail. Looks like rail placed east at least until the Rt 117 crossing and maybe who knows how far beyond. Maybe due to the June construction blitz on the Boston line, rail won't begin to be changed out until July?

From my observations, the crossings were done before the welded rail was put in place.

Greendale siding this afternoon - ballast equipment was gone and replaced by parked FRA Safety Inspection car 220 and Gage Restraint Measurement Vehicle DOTX218.

This equipment, or something very similar, was seen parked on the Greendale siding Tuesday afternoon. As was mentioned, the Worcester line had it's ballast cleaned last summer.

M426 heading east thru West Boylston at 1445 today (later then usual) with 152 cars (full disclosure, I counted each carriage as one on the single spline car).

I noticed a new building going up with a new rail siding being put in as I drove on Rt 1 while passing over the track near New Meadow Rd in Brunswick.

CSX 426 sitting at New Bond with 4 engines and 467 the leader at 1130. This is like in the Conrail days, when SENE used to park there, blocking the P&W. Since the P&W Gardner job rarely runs on Saturday I guess they allowed it. Might be an extra long train that wouldn't clear New Bond if par...

Not to beat a dead horse to death but I guess we all (I know I do) have time on our hands eh? The PanAm TT map is mislabeled backwards (yes, I agree that the TT would be gospel for the employees). So all that are consulting the TT are correct. But in reality, Ziff is the company that the siding on t...

Hmm, since Ziff Paper (now Bunzl) is located on the west side of Shrewsbury st, I figured that the siding that used to serve them (taken out years ago) would be referred to as the Ziff siding. The short siding to the east of Shrewsbury st has not served a customer in the 30+ years I've lived around ...

The Zwift siding has been gone for around 10 years or so, ever since a housing development in back of there was put in with a new access road. Track equipment had been parking on the stub of a former industrial siding on the other side of Shrewsbury st, but that switch was removed when the new rail ...

I see that the AEI car reader and the over-height detector at S. Meadowbrook Rd in Clinton MA are still in place (have been there since Conrail I believe). Are they active? Also wondering why a hot box or dragging equipment detector hasn't been installed for west bound trains before they pass over t...

427 past Sterling Junction around 1530 today, at track speed, CSX 471 and 2 others, 82 freight with quite a few cement cars and a flat car loaded with train wheels. Lately the schedule seems to be 426 thru Wach Reservoir area mid to late morning and 427 thru mid to late afternoon. Oh - yes the 7.8 d...

Geo train, with some freight cars added, was still tied down at Burncoat siding as of last night.
