I was wondering what everyone thought of re-opening south street station? If not, why not? If yes, which trains should stop there? http://i.imgur.com/E2V8tlk.png http://i.imgur.com/7pe6xxo.png While the proximity seems rather close, i feel it might improve transportation equality in the area around ...
Would be neat to see that station open again. Would it make -any- sense to?

Did they only run diesels? I thought that line had the wires taken down?
These are not going anywhere for a long time.
What is the start date for this, if it's given a green light?
What? How on earth did they manage before LED lights came out? i see this has turned into a battle of I know more about LEDs than you which isn't what the opening post was about, the question was asked if MUs would be retro fitted, the simple answer for now is no, there is no need to, the wheel doe...
I just hope no one gets hurt if something does happen due to these folks being overworked. Every engineer i've talked to in the last 5 years says they like the pay just fine, but need more time off between working. Clearly SEPTA is at a point where it's either going to have further and more dire pro...
No doubt typed up by a "transportation expert". From what i know, there has been no abandonment of anything in the last 15 years in the city limits. There is SAS and ESA, and 7 line extension, new WTC & fulton street trabsportation hub, new south ferry, and many stations have been reno...
FWIW The area next to the "low" track is known to some as "the pit" and is used for employee parking. It used to be commuter parking at one time. The "low" track used to be used by trains that continued on to what is now the River Line. You could put more tracks in the...
I've actually found the LED lamps on the ASC-86's to be much less bright than standard lamps. I can tell because older headlights used to oversaturate the CCD on my camera and the LED's don't. Some LED's actually work on pulsing DC, which moderates the effective light output. Then you have the ligh...

Thank you all for the info & replies! I found it via google image search for trenton looking for images of the station that existed two stations ago. The one built by PRR was replaced with an ugly amshack style eyesore, then that was replaced by the current modern and enjoyable structure.
Interesting, seems by next summer all units should be delivered.... here's crossing fingers that transit agencies that shall not be named get a few...
