Thanks John! I stopped by yesterday afternoon. I wonder what they are doing out on the trestle. I bet there will be a good amount of branch traffic once they are all wrapped up.

I drove past earlier but they were doing some road resurfacing on Maplewood so I didn't see much. Sounds like they must have headed down there this morning as I saw a bunch of MOW equipment at Rockingham this morning and lots of vests walking around.

The yard in Portsmouth is clear of ties.

Here is a shot from lunch time today. By pure chance DO-1 was arriving at Rockingham from Portsmouth so I included it in the shot. They have cleared a large number of ties from the side of the branch line as well as some brush. Looks very open and clear now.

Yes both engines were in the yard over the weekend.

The tie pile at Rockingham has completely gone. Looks very tidy there right now. May throw the drone up later to get a shot of it looking squeaky clean.

Wow that’s a lot! There are two engines parked on the branch line this morning as well.

Yes that’s true. I remember the Navy not being too concerned with it.

DO-1 headed back to Portsmouth at lunch time with more cars, another good size train. It’s been almost daily of late.

POAY spent some time at Rockingham today dropping even more cars for Portsmouth.

Yes saw that leave Rockingham. Also today at depot road was a section of rail with ties attached at the side of the track there. You are right about the mud, that crossing is all mud these days!

Yes, Sea-3 and Boise are doing well. There is also a good flow of covered hoppers for Tyco.

Here are some reefers from a month ago on 3/12. I believe there have been a couple more since then too.

Yes. Whoever buys Pan Am will keep this branch. There still a good amount of revenue/movement it seems and they are moving lots more LPG of late too. Also this line links up the Navy Yard via the bridge.

Lots more activity recently. 24 new loads came in yesterday afternoon and there are already 6 or 7 loads in the yard and another 24 on the passing track at Rockingham waiting to come down to Portsmouth. Here is a video of DO-1 coming in yesterday with two GRS engines. https://youtu.be/o8a08lThRZA Al...
