Although there are a few other sidings along that line that begins at Canton Jctn , and South into downtown Stoughton only the lumber yard is active. Over a decade ago there was a run away lumber car that got loose from the lumber yard siding ...

Worcester? That's great to hear! That tells me that CSXT isn't planning on selling. We always figured that they would dump East Worcester & West Springfield asap. Most people expected CSXT to sell off anything & Everything east of the Hudson. Again, good luck.

Just an Amfleet with the Financial Times advertisement wrap. When did you see this? There were already an Amfleet I Coach (#81592) and an Amfleet I Business Class (#81502) with this wrap last month. I have photos of the 81502, but RRNet is giving me issues uploading them.

I'm pretty certain that Amtrak will chose the doctor or program. In today's climate I very highly doubt that your doctor can just write a note saying that in his/her opinion, you're able to work, unless you are actually being treated for the condition right now. I know of 2 coworkers that are engine...

As Engineer Spike said above, the railroad isn't what it used to be. Nowadays due to "equal opportunity" they hire just about anybody, but tend to chose "minorities" and women to meet quotas. Here at Amtrak they're more likely to take a retail store employee over a freight railro...

My thoughts exactly! B&B is part of Engineering Dept. I just assumed the OP meant making the switch to Locomotive Engineer.

I'm curios how the meds etc would effect you, depending on the position acquired on the railroad.

Mattapan is fine during the day, especially right at the station. Same goes for Mattapan. Just like any other places, it's all about how you act.

Holiday Inn in Randolph is just about in between Braintree & Rte 128, right off the highway (I-93). It's right on State Route 28, which would be a 10 minute drive right to Mattapan.

Getting back to the original poster's questions. Yes, the Café is open all night except for closing during the power swap in WAS & during the dwell in NYP as Acela150 stated. As much as I agree with Tadman regarding eating in the terminals, that's really not an option while traveling on 66. In W...
