On the ride, a NHCR engineer had to take over the train 3 miles before Whitefield, because we were at the end of CSRR's tracks. I'm sure that's part of the issue in making it a regular thing. I do hope they add it as a permanent part of RF Weekend.

Oh really, I thought that project had been canceled. I actually talked with one of the people doing the work (prepping 4268 to receive the pm). It was delayed, not cancelled. They're making some forward progress. I told them they need to get up to Gorham and get 4265 running after! They said they'd...
The box car was a pleasant surprise. I also noticed this past weekend the 4268 has had some work done to it; could we possibly see new paint on this unit in the coming weeks? I stopped by the 470 table, and they said work is in progress. They've completely cleaned out 4268, and are preparing to mov...
Hats off to the whole crew at CSRR for an amazing experience! My son and I FINALLY made it to a Railfan's Weekend, and it did not disappoint! Got to ride Millie to Redstone (shocked some people on bikes on the tracks just off of Mountain Junction, they're not used to those tracks being used) and rid...
The original MBTA F40's just recently retired: viewtopic.php?f=65&t=14967" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear they're pretty much doomed. I was hoping (I know, I know) that some heritage railroad would consider '78 long enough to consider at least a couple of them "heritage" worthy and put them into use.
Just curious if there's been any movement on the Screamers or if they're still mothballed?

I tend towards the bluegrass or Johnny Cash style.
That said, here's my favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTjHVJIxENc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Thank you! Will look out for it.
Is the one parked in that Trolley Graveyard in PA (I think) one of those?
I hear you. I personally prefer Bartlett, because as a railfan, I like to be on the train longer. I've been on the Conway side before and found it too short. I know others who are not railfans who say the Conway side is just right for them. I do enjoy the views, but some day hope to ride the Notch T...
Seems like something "auto-correct" would do.
Going to be a long winter. I'm back. Two vantage points every day. Wigginvillet home and across from the Lowell Depot every day at work. Nothing really stands out that I have seen lately. Usual activity, maybe an uptick. Did see the Pine Tree caboose both in Lowell and Saint Mary's Ga. I'll keep in...
I don't see anything in the news about it, and the video disappeared from Facebook.
