I find it incredulous that these "new" M1 cars, much heralded, could possible be gone. I hope you caught some MP54, MP70, and MP72's that day.
Those were Metro North M-3As I photographed, not M-1s.
The photos are from 1983-85.

The station appears to be Bloomfield on the now Montclair-Boonton line (previously the Montclair Branch).
Thank you. The only time I could photograph that station would be on a weekend. Wasn't the old Montclair line closed on weekends ?

What commuter line is that?
Former Erie Lackawanna now NJT. Either the Montclair or Morristown line.
