If last years reroute due to the "track" forest fire proved anything,the Transcon is not ready yet,timekeeping was a lost cause. There are still 2 single track sections in NM(Fort Sumner+ Vaughn),the trackage between Newton-Mulvane would need to be brought back to Passenger train standards...
