Someone told me that the new switches at State are going to be 30mph ones. Is this true. I read a article. And I think on here. They were going to be 45mph ones.

Is there any other benefits to rule 562 besides less wayside signal to maintain?

Some people told me today that the number one and four tracks got rule 562 installed on them between Ham and County. Been looking for some photos of the interlockings today. Nothing came up. I know Amtrak was going install rule 562 between those two interlockings. I'm surprised I didn't hear that th...

Didn't see any new signals yet. I noticed some concrete ties installed east of the station on the number two track.

Slow Approach at Paoli

I came across a video on Youtube. One of the ACS-64 was out for a test run. The train got a stop and proceed then the signal upgraded it self to slow approach. I thought it would show medium approach. There isn't a short block length. It's 1.6 miles to the next signal heading east. I guess the signa...

The plans and rendering in the presentation show one center island platform with only two tracks (one on each side of the island). There are also fences up along the old low side platforms, implying that only the center platform will be use for all trains. Seems like a mistake to me but they don't ...

Two years ago. I was getting footage at Leaman Interlocking and Irishtown Road crossing. I noticed the home signal at Leaman showed slow approach on a straight route. Then approach. After seeing show slow approach. I decided to go to Irishtown crossing to get footage. I was hoping to see approach sl...

When I was Overbrook interlocking in July. I noticed the one signal showing restricting. The weird thing was it went to approach medium after that. I never seen a signal do that. Didn't show a aspect to prepare to stop at the next signal. What's with that? You sure it wasn't a slow approach you saw...

I know Metro North was member of NORAC and they had rule 562 on the line. Does anyone know a photo with approach normal. I haven't yet to find one. Someone told me that Metro North had them on their signals.
